stupid fun fact of the day: the most pawed, most popular "whoa, what's that?" book in our branch is "porn 101 : eroticism, pornography, and the first amendment," edited by james elias (who is a professor at csun and director of its center for sex research).

it's impossible to say how many times i've reshelved that book, after finding it resting usually no more than one foot from its proper location. people see the title, get excited, flip through it, find little or no pictures, toss it aside.
